North Yorkshire Community Fund
The North Yorkshire Community Fund is aimed at helping small, mainly volunteer led, voluntary & community groups, small charities and other types of not for profit organisation with grants of up to £1000 for projects that support those that are most disadvantaged either because they are based in an area of disadvantage or because they work with a community disadvantaged for some other reason.
In this round we are looking to fund projects which can help with the ongoing development needs of small organisations which will allow them to better meet the needs of their beneficiaries and can clearly demonstrate how funding will strengthen the organisation and improve sustainability. This could be by purchase of equipment to extend activities to increase participation or through improvements to buildings to make venues more attractive and comfortable for users, training of volunteers, increased publicity or development support to increase the capacity of the organisation.

We regret to advise that due to the current Coronavirus crisis in the United Kingdom, with the support of our funders and donors we are putting on hold the processing of grants that are not directly related to projects seeking to alleviate the effects of this crisis on the community, to mitigate the effects of the crisis on local voluntary sector groups or work related to flood recovery
For details of the Coronavirus Community Fund and to make an application if the above applies to your group, please click here to see the details. We are positively encouraging groups to apply to us for support during this period and putting on hold other grant making allows us to prioritise this work.
For other, non-priority funds you may continue to complete an application and we will be in touch when our usual grant making programmes recommence. At present we do not know when this will be but we will keep this under review.
