North Yorkshire Reward Fund
The North Yorkshire Reward Grant Fund is available to small community groups and charities in North Yorkshire. A variety of local community groups and charitable projects that help make North Yorkshire a better place have been funded by the Reward scheme.
The North Yorkshire Reward fund was created by North Yorkshire County Council. Grants are made from the investment yield from endowed funds invested for the long term to support our local communities well into the future. As such the amount available for grant making each year will fluctuate with investment returns.
The fund is designed for projects which help communities to meet priorities that are contained within the North Yorkshire County Council plan at the time that the grant is made and the criteria for the scheme will change from time to time to concentrate on a particular area of the plan.
This year priority for funding will centre around projects that aim to reduce loneliness through increasing participation in activities and/or removing barriers to involvement in activities for people at risk of social isolation. This is very closely linked to our A Life Less Lonely fund but rather than concentrating only on older people, it recognises that loneliness can affect anyone at any age.
