HEY Confident Futures Leadership Network
HEY Confident Futures is a free network for leaders in the voluntary and cultural sector in Hull and East Yorkshire.
It brings together a network of people at all stages of leadership; those who are emerging and developing as well as the experienced and well established senior leaders.
The network connects leaders, encouraging collaboration through online and face-to-face events, shared resources and news from members and the sector, enabling both individuals and organisations to develop, grow and collaborate.
HEY Confident Futures is all about creating generous leaders, leaders who are empowered to effect change both within their organisation and in the wider sector, breaking down barriers and enabling them to be more confident in their leadership.
The network adapts and changes to meet the needs of its members and people can dip in and out as their workload allows, to make the connections needed to support their leadership journey.

- Your organisation: Developing your organisation to meet the needs of your community

You will receive regular newsletters highlighting the events, training and coaching available to you as well as sector specific news, polls and leadership resources.
Coaching, peer support, networking and events
Take advantage of one-on-one coaching, leadership development programmes and peer support opportunities. Join other leaders at a Hump Day Coffee Club, or connect through face to face training, networking and wellbeing activities.
Our programme of events is varied, thought-provoking and inspiring. Events we host include topics like:
- How to Fail
- Societal power and privilege -an interactive journey for all leaders
- Making the most of your board of Trustees
- Getting back on track – a walk in nature
- Celebration of Leadership
There’s also a Leadership Advocacy Network for leaders experiencing racial inequality and periodically the opportunity to sign up to the ‘New to Leadership’ programme.
Celebrating the leaders of Hull and East Yorkshire
An inspiring celebration of leadership
July 2022 saw the HEY Confident Futures Celebration of Leadership event in Hull come together, as an inspiring, uplifting array of nearly 80 emerging and established leaders met up to connect and collaborate.
The Hull Truck Theatre was the perfect venue as a whole swathe of passionate, energised speakers shared their stories and joined us for the day to listen to and learn from the experiences of others.
The 12 emerging leaders delivered a spine-tingling workshop on ‘Finding your inner badass’. There was no way any one could leave without knowing and feeling their ‘badass’ self.
