How to Give – Setting up a Fund

Start your fund (over £25,000)

Starting a fund with Two Ridings CF is quick and easy.

It is like having your own Charitable Foundation without the hassle and expense and with more certainty about the future.

Tax Relief may be available to make your gift even more valuable to us.

Tax Effective Giving

Most funds over £25,000 are endowments and your gift is used to set up a fund with the revenue generated going to support causes which you can nominate.

It is likely that over time the amount distributed will exceed the original gift and you will have given the community a lasting gift.

A contribution to costs will be agreed with you, but this will be significantly less than the cost of audits, investment fees and possibly professional trustee fees associated with a typical Charitable Trust.

Long term, the fund can continue without worries about what to do as you get older. You can add to it with a legacy and provide wishes about how the fund will operate after your death.

What to do next

We can be very flexible in how we support you setting up a fund. You may like to speak to us on the phone first or arrange a meeting. If you are short of time we can meet with your professional advisors and limit your involvement to the key issues.

An existing endorsed fund supported by donors who share a common interest in a specific area within our region who may not wish, or may not have the funds to set up their own endowed fund.

Flow-through Fund (minimum £5,000)
