Have you been thinking about how you could make a real difference in your community, but aren’t sure where to start?
Maybe you know people who want to invest in local projects, but you’re unsure how to support them?
Or perhaps you’re passionate about creating lasting change in North and East Yorkshire?
As a trustee at Two Ridings, you’ll have the chance to guide our strategy, ensure solid governance, and work closely with a variety of stakeholders to help improve people’s lives across the region. We’re looking for up to five new trustees to join our board.

Why join us?
Each year, we distribute grants to hundreds of local charities and community organisations, all thanks to the generosity of our donors. Since Two Ridings was established in 2000 (this year marks our 25th anniversary!), we’ve awarded over £23 million in grants, with £2.2 million of that going to good causes in 2024-25 alone.
Our funding supports grassroots organisations that provide vital services and life-changing activities for local people. From tackling inequality to fighting poverty, reducing loneliness, and improving mental health, our work is all about building strong, sustainable communities. Every day is different, and there’s always something exciting going on.
Who we are looking for
To complement existing expertise on the board, we’d love to welcome new trustees who bring one of the following skillsets to the table:
• First-hand knowledge of the needs and potential of community organisations we work with, and the people they serve
• Experience in investment or wealth management, ideally with a focus on responsible investment. This could come from personal investing, experience in the industry, or serving on a pension fund committee
• A solid understanding of financial administration and/or organisational management
We actively encourage applications from people with disabilities, people from global majority backgrounds, people who identify as LGBTQI and those living in Hull and the East Riding.

Your role as a trustee will have a real impact across the region. By working with us, you’ll help build a fairer, more equal region. Your input will be key in tackling hidden poverty, loneliness, mental health challenges, rural isolation, and other important issues. Together, we can help create stronger communities and transform local people’s lives.
