Cost of Living Crisis Fund

cost of living crisis fundThe Cost of Living Crisis Fund has been providing funding to support groups, people and communities with the spiralling cost of living since September 2022.

In order to be able to continue supporting vital work with communities and local people who are experiencing food and fuel poverty and hardship, we are also fundraising for new donations to the Fund.

Please note, for this round we also have separate guidance notes for East Yorkshire & Hull, and for North Yorkshire:

EAST Yorkshire & Hull Cost of Living Guidance Notes – Jan 2024

NORTH Yorkshire Cost Of Living Guidance Notes – Jan 2024

We are fundraising separately for York, and will have news on that soon.

Size of grants

Grants up to £5,000

You can apply for providing emergency support in the form of food support, fuel support or purchasing essential items for distribution to local people. You can also apply to enable your organisation to provide activities, or create a warm and welcoming space, for people affected by the cost of living crisis.

Grants up to £10,000

For these grants we would expect funding to provide emergency support to local people as outlined above – this should be between 20% to 50% of your total ask. For community groups playing a significant role supporting their community, the remainder of your ask can also be used to support your core overheads.
