Women in Business Fund
The Two Ridings Women in Business Fund is a giving circle made up of professional women from across North Yorkshire. It’s an exciting opportunity for women in business to make a difference in the region they love.
Investing in the fund is a unique opportunity to network and be part of an empowering philanthropy group. This is networking with purpose. Money from membership goes directly into the Women in Business Fund and once a year a panel meets to consider applications from community organisations working with women, girls and their families.
Members make up the panel, giving real investors the opportunity to have their say.
Investors come together three times a year for social and meaningful networking. Everyone gets the opportunity to visit the groups making an impact and get to know them and the how the fund has benefitted the people they support.
Funding goes to groups working directly with women and girls, addressing issues like domestic abuse, education, mental health and the affects of the menopause.
The first networking event took place in December 2022 in Harrogate.

Women in Business Giving Circle
A fund for women, funded by women
The Women in Business Giving Circle is an opportunity for professional women in North Yorkshire to join other women in a collective fund to invest in projects that directly affect women, addressing issues like domestic abuse, inequality and the menopause.
See your support in action
Meet quarterly for networking, make funding decisions by sitting on the funding panels and see your support in action through visits to the projects and groups funded.
Meeting up with other women investors
The first networking event
The Women in Business Giving Circle came together in December 2022 at Ogden of Harrogate for the very first meetup of the Fundholders. The first ten investors enjoyed meeting each other and their guests and how the fund should move forward was excitedly discussed.
Match funding found
Everyone was delighted to hear that their investment had been match funded thanks to a generous donor enabling twice as many community groups to be supported in the first round of decisions. The next catch up of the group will be visits to some of the crucial organisations supporting women and children in the county.
