Scarborough Children & Young People’s Fund

The Scarborough Children & Young People’s fund has been developed to increase opportunities for children & young people to thrive in Scarborough District and in particular to help promote good mental health.

During the pandemic crisis, poor mental health in children & young people in the Scarborough District has become an increasing concern. In response, the Scarborough Children & Young People’s fund will provide grants and support to local voluntary sector groups that are working to address this issue.

As part of this funding programme, we will be running regular peer support sessions to get funded groups together and if you are successful in gaining funding for your project, we ask that you commit a small amount of time to get involved with this shared learning opportunity. We expect the commitment to be a monthly session lasting up to 2 hours for the next 12 months as we work to further develop the offer for children & young people in Scarborough District

We will be running two introductory information sessions for groups that are thinking about making an application to the fund on the following dates:

Monday 1st Feb – 10 – 11.30 am

Thursday 4th Feb 5 – 6.30 pm

Attendance is highly recommended for prospective applicants. Please click here for further information and to book your place.

(NB the sessions are identical, you only need to attend one session. We have scheduled two dates to accommodate more people)
