Kathy Gargan
Trustee
Kathy retired in December 2021 following a lifetime career at PwC, a global professional services firm.
After joining the firm in London in 1983 from university, Kathy qualified as a chartered accountant in the Audit practice. In 1987 she moved to North Yorkshire to get married and, following the birth of her three daughters, transferred into Operations within PwC. Kathy was also a Trustee Director of the PwC Pension Fund for 8 years gaining valuable experience of governance and investments.
With over 20 years’ experience in Operations (finance, budgets, planning, governance, HR, risk), Kathy is familiar with the challenges of running an organisation.
She is a Governor at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, a Director at North of England Horticulture Society, Event Director at Fountains Abbey parkrun (Ripon) and a regular volunteer at Resurrected Bites, a community organisation in Harrogate/Knaresborough that aims to reduce food waste, loneliness and food poverty.
Based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, Kathy is looking forward to making a positive difference to the many communities locally through her role at Two Ridings.
