We are looking for three key individuals to join our passionate team

With Celia McKeon, our new CEO, firmly in post, over a million about to be distributed in Hull, and several new funds being established, it is all go at Two Ridings.

We are excited to be looking for three key individuals to join our team: Head of Grants, Senior Philanthropy Manager and a Grants Officer.

Head of Grants

Joining the senior leadership team, we are seeking a Head of Grants to lead the Grants team. You’ll have overall responsibility to develop, deliver and evaluate our grant making programmes and hold budget responsibility for it.

You’ll ensure Two Ridings delivers a managed programme of grant making and support, that meets the needs of our communities, whilst addressing the ambitions of donors and fundholders. You will oversee all the internal processes and ensure the smooth functioning of the grants committee, assessment processes, panels and participatory grant making.

This is a role for someone who combines a passion for people with a talent for process, and who is determined that our grant-making is accessible, equitable and inclusive.

⏰Hours: 28 per week
💵 Salary: £40,000 – £44,000 pro rata
📍Location: Hybrid, with two days in York office and ability to travel throughout North and East Yorkshire

Senior Philanthropy Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to help us grow Two Ridings, and create strategic new relationships, as our Senior Philanthropy Manager.

You will build and manage relationships with partners, donors and investors to grow income foundation-wide. It’s a role that focuses on building relationships with professional advisors, private individuals and corporate sponsors as well as identifying new business opportunity to generate income.

You will constantly be building a pipeline of prospective fund holders, whilst developing and delivering a series of events, communications, and other touch points with existing donors, giving donors a strong sense of the impact their funds are having on the people and places they are passionate about.

This is a highly sociable, relationship-driven role involving innovative networking, strategic development, sound financial knowledge and a high-octane drive to deliver results.

⏰ Hours: 21 per week
💵 Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 pro rata
📍 Location: Hybrid, with regular travel throughout North and East Yorkshire and visits to our office in York

Grants Officer

We are also looking for a new Grants Officer to be part of the gang.

You will manage a portfolio of funds and the end-to-end grant process of each of those funds. You will distribute grants from £250 to £25,000 to support community organisations in North and East Yorkshire to provide the critical support and activities that local people need.

Your role will see you supporting grant applicants, volunteer assessors and panel members and will be largely office based. You’ll process applications, respond to enquiries and keep the monitoring systems accurate and up to date.

This is a role where you will have great attention to detail, excellent organisational and administrative skills and are able to communicate confidently with people. You will also have good data literacy skills, be IT literate and be assured with your own decision-making capability.

⏰ Hours: 25 – 28 per week (negotiable)
💵 Salary: £20,000 – £25,000 pro rata
📍 Location: Hybrid, with two days per week in office in York
