Welcome to Two Ridings Community Foundation

National Emergencies TrustTwo Ridings Community Foundation is a hub for donors to channel funds directly to grassroots charities. Our aim is simple but vital. We raise and distribute funds fairly & efficiently. Right now at a time of crisis this is even more vital. We are the local distribution partner in North & East Yorkshire for funds raised by the National Emergencies Trust.

Nationally, and locally we are the trusted, expert advisor on giving, philanthropy and grant making. We ensure donors’ funds make a difference across North and East Yorkshire. We manage funds & make grants and through this website you can explore our work, make a donation or apply for funding.

We are a registered charity & the accredited Community Foundation for giving and grant making in North & East Yorkshire. We are a member of UK Community Foundations which gives us access to national or governmental funds to distribute locally. Last year we awarded over £1.1m in grants.

Platform provides day care in Hull for profoundly disabled young people aged 19+. Two Ridings Coronavirus Community Fund supported them in April 2020 with a grant so they could support their users.

Hull Sisters received a Coronavirus Community Fund, large grant in May 2020 to cover the cost of an outreach worker, volunteers, transport cost, food, stationery and internet cost for 6 months. Hull Sisters provide support to BAME women with telephone advice giving update on current situation and explain social distance/staying safe. They are also delivering food and household items for those who are facing mental and physical disabilities or poverty.

Two Ridings CF benefits from its experienced trustees, dedicated staff and volunteers to enable us to provide services to the community. At this time of Coronavirus crisis we are the local partners for the National Emergencies Trust across North & East Yorkshire.

Recently funded:

SELFA, a local children’s charity in Skipton. We funded this charity in March 2020 as part of the first wave of Coronavirus Community Grants. The grant helped SELFA to provide essential support to the local community including co-ordinating volunteers, organising food and medicine deliveries and providing activities and food parcels to vulnerable children and young people.

This grant, one of 235 made to date (19th June 2020) was made possible thanks to the many generous donors and supporters of Two Ridings. The Two Ridings Coronavirus Community Fund, currently at £2.1m, aims to support the many local charitable groups response to the coronavirus crisis in North & East Yorkshire. We have set up this fund to be a flexible and responsive source of funds to help keep people safe, fed, well and connected. Read our June update report on the work of the Foundation
