Made by Sport Fund

What is the funding for?

Made by Sport’s ‘Clubs in Crisis’ Fund is available to support sports clubs or organisations working within the sports for development sector which are able to demonstrate that the pandemic has affected them. This could be operationally or financially. Funds can be used to save, resume or adapt your activity. The work of your organisation should be focused on young people aged 5-25.

What is sport for development?

Sport for development intentionally uses sport or any physical activity to achieve other social outcomes. For this fund the projects must work towards one or more of the following outcomes:

  • Developing Life Skills
  • Improving Mental Health
  • Reducing Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour
  • Developing Employability Skills
  • Building Stronger Communities

There is further information in the guidance notes on what type of projects fit within those categories.

Sport for development isn’t community sport which just focuses on developing and widening opportunities to participate.

Size of grants

Grants are available for up to £2021. This funding is unrestricted – it can be used for capital costs, staff costs, overheads or anything else your club may need to get activity going.
