What this funded

The Bettys and Taylors Group Coronavirus Community Fund has been running for a number of years (originally as their Community Fund) to enable the well-known Yorkshire family business to provide community support throughout the region.

The April 2022 round of funding focused around projects and initiatives that promote good health and wellbeing, reduce inequalities and reduce loneliness and isolation throughout the whole Yorkshire region

£50,011 was invested into the region with 15 community organisations awarded grants.

Much of the funding will be used for core and staff costs to enable the community organisations to continue the support they provide

Katherine Odom, Grants Officer at Two Ridings said

“The Bettys and Taylors Group are continually wanting to give back and invest in the communities they work around. Fully aware that that pandemic has squeezed so many organisations, they recognise that covereing core costs is crucial in order to promote wellbeing, equality and tackle isolation in our region.”
